Last Monday I celebrated my bday, and thought that a good reason to have an especially A-mazing cake.
When I pictured it in my mind I saw a huge cake in pastel colors with all my fashion desires.
The next thing that came to my mind was Marie Antoinette as she is so identified with the soft pastel colors, fashion, cakes and other fun and luxury desires.
There is no doubt that Marie was a controversial figure and even these days, there are wavering opinions about the young queen.
I chose her fashionable angle as an inspiration for my bday photo shoot and as the day grew closer I decided to add a ‘Telavivian’ vibe to the Marie Antoinette theme.
When I began to receive pics of the cake and the outfit while the girls worked on them I understood it all looks like a fantasy. The cake looked like a piece of art and the skirt and top looked like sweets! That’s why I made up my mind to take this photo shoot one step further and started collecting all my favorite make up products that look like candies and placed them next to the cake.
Every detail that was a part of this fantasy shoot was so sweet you just wanted to eat it regardless of whether it was a lipstick, a satin bow or a macaroon.
For the Tel Aviv feel we chose the ‘Espresso Bar’ on Dizengoff st. as our location and the fact that the sun was so happy to see us that day just made us all smile!
